Week of September 28 to October 2

First, this is mid term week.  We will be sending home midterm progress reports on Friday of this week.   Also, parents, your child will be bringing home Weekly GPA Sheets for you to sign for a grade as a part of their Avid Success Advisory Period. Please review these sheets.   If you child is having difficulties in his/her classes, we have tutoring every morning to help students on nightly homework.  This begins at 7:40 in the Media Center.
Next, if you have not turned in your Lunch Forms to the school office, please send those in ASAP.   It is vitally important that we have these back.  Again as I have said in previous calls, if we don't get those back it will impact our Title I status.  If you have any questions or didn't get a form, please contact the school office.
If you have not taken the Parent Survey which is located on the District Web Page, please be sure to do this.  It is also very important that we receive feedback to help improve our school.  Be sure to select Heaton Middle School When you log into the survey.
Next, Picture Day is Thursday.  Students will be expected to wear their school uniforms on the day of pictures.  Pictures will take place during the school day.  This is also Count Day.  It is extremely important that students are in school on this day.
Good luck to all our sports teams this week. This is the final week of the regular season and the we head into tournament week.   On Tuesday, our CC team will travel to Craver.  We will release the team at 3:15.  Please sign your child out and wait for your child in the school lobby.
If you have any questions about any of these announcements, please contact the school.  Thank you.
