Week of October 19 to October 23

First we have a traffic update.   Traffic is going very well.  We have met with City Roads and they will be working with the neighborhood residents to complete the next stage of making Adair permanently a one way.  Thank you again for your help to ensure traffic flows smoothly and students are safe.  95% of the traffic is clearing in 8 minutes in comparison to 17 minutes prior to the road change.  We will keep everyone posted on the next stages but for now Adair will remain a one way.
Please add the following dates to your calendar.   The 1st quarter ends on Friday, October 30.  There will be NO School on Monday, November 2 as this is a District Wide Teacher Work Day.  On Tuesday, November 3, Heaton will hold Parent Teacher Conferences from 10:30 till 6.  There will be no school for students on those days.
Parents you child will be bringing home weekly grade checks they are completing during their Advisory Class.  Please ask your child to see these grade checks.  We are asking parents to sign these and they are for a weekly grade.  Also, we are sending home weekly calls to any student who is missing assignments.  Regardless of whether your child's absence was excused or unexcused, their work is considered missing until it is turned in.  Please contact your child's teacher for details about missing work.
Thursday evening, is our Fall Instrumental Music Concert.   It will be held at East High School to accommodate seating.  The concert begins at 7PM
Friday, we will be having class meeting for a Bully Prevention Assembly.  Students will have these meetings during the morning hours.
Congratulations to all of our Fall Sports Teams!  They had a great season and we are looking forward to the upcoming boys basketball season!
