Weekly Announcements April 4 to 8

posted Apr 3, 2016, 6:17 PM by Robert Odell

First, there is NO school for students on Monday, April 4th due to a teacher work day.

Next, the 3rd quarter ended on Friday.  Report cards will be passed out on Tuesday.  Please ask your child to see their report card.

This week the window for State Mandated Testing begins.   This week our students will be taking the required math assessments.   I am very confident that our students will do their very best because the students and the teachers have been working very hard the past 7 months to ensure the students mastered the required state standards.

Because the testing is now all computer based, we are requesting your help as your child tests the next several weeks.  At no time are students allowed to have access to OTHER devises during the testing time per state policy.  This means students will not be allowed to have their phones in their possession during the tests.   Students will need to place their phones in their lockers or can have teachers hold them during the testing time.   ALL PHONES will need to be on airplane mode or turned off during the testing time as well.  The use of or the going off of a cell phones will create serious implications for our students and the school including zeros and misadministrations for your student and others.  I am asking that you speak to your child about the seriousness of this and please respect the state’s policies regarding phones that we will we oversee.

Good luck to our track team as the begin competition this week.  They have a meet on Monday at Dutch and Thursday this week.   Good luck to all our students.

Finally, my last announcement is for 8th grade parents only.   The 8th grade Continuum/Dinner/Dance for our 8th grade students will be on Monday JUNE 6th.   More details about the evening will be up and coming.  We just wanted to get the date announced for parents.

If you have any questions about these announcements or have questions please contact the school.
